Naturally Flyy Detroit's Last Meet Up of the Year ..

Naturally FLYY Detroit Presents Faces, Fro's & Funk Part II
I was in this funk on day of the meet up but THANK GOD for friends!
My girlfriend, Nichelle dragged my butt to the NFD Meet Up.
Boy, when I tell you I am soooooooooooo happy she did.
I am sooooo happy that she did!
We arrived to the meet up later than usual due to us both leaving our respectable jobs
I overheard some women mention there was a fashion show and a few live hair tutorials had taken place already??!!
We missed it!
We missed it!
*It sounded pretty DOPE right?*
I know, I thought so too!

I almost felt like I missed all the action.. all the festiveness...
the enthousiasme.. that's French for excitement.. didn't know I was bilingual huh?
THAT WAS TOTALLY NOT TRUE!
I caught up with tons of my peeps.
Made new friends!
Made new friends!
I found some DOPE earrings and other goodies..
Sipped on a Mango smoothie while dancing to my latest obsession to Beyonce's Party with Nichelle.
I insisted on playing the track on my phone so she could UNDERSTAND why I love the track so much!
I even had a few deep healing conversations with varies women at the event. In one the discussions, a woman named Akashi opened up about her life in Jamaica where operates a beautiful retreat in a rain forest! Akashi was unaware of NFD Meet Up was going on, she just happen to be visiting the location where it was being held (Artist's Village).
(I plan to visit her next year! *another blog upcoming soon*)
Hmph!
It truly amazes me how REJUVENATED, INSPIRED AND LIFTED, I feel after each meet up!
It's a beautiful thing to be surrounded by such warmed spirits.
Boy, I tell ya, February can't even get here any FASTER!

SwitchPlay: Detroit's Hidden Treasure
Never did tell you guys what I did for Sweetest Day, huh?
I am not too keen on the holiday hype, because I believe celebrating your love ones daily in small special ways.;)
I am not knocking anyone who does, by all means simply do what pleases you!
However, my mother is a nut about the holiday season. She kinda expects something to be done for on ever holiday... which is okay because I love my mom.. *Waves, hey Mommy*
So I surprised her with tickets to Switch Play: The Play, a sketch comedy production.
If you didn't know this about me, you will now, I LOVE TO LAUGH.
I will repeat it for those who couldn't hear/see what I said,
It almost to the point where I should start a group called:

Switch Play is a production hosted at Wayne State University seasonally. The crew consisted men and women from the Fine Arts department of the university. Some of the members are alumni and current students who come together to produce a show twice a year, sadly only twice year.
I invited my aunt and sister to accompany us to the play, when I tell we NEVER stop LAUGHING from the beginning to the end of the play.
I couldn't believe that I never heard or seen any of these actors on TV!
The show placed me in the mind of Living Color
These men and women are truly a talented crew!
My family and I TRULY enjoyed our Sweetest's Day because of your tear jerking sketches!

I have been in the mist of creating and balancing so many different projects. Thus, today will be a posting frenzy for me.
I decided if I can not write a piece for you all, I will simply create a video.. sounds simple right? Well I have created 3 and it has yet to be posted because my internet lags A LOT :(
*In fact I know a lot people in the Metro Detroit area that says their internet lags a lot, perhaps it's the steel plants that sprinkles across the Tri-State.. shrugs*
So I will post those videos up for you when I find a stable connections. :) hopefully soon!
Currently, I am writing more often and vividly. My writer's voice/tone will change just a tad bit so I am bracing you for it!
I was invited to write as a contributing writer for That's DWNN '81: A artist movement in Metro Detroit!

I am also in the mist of working on a scholarship... and in addition to that I applied the Detroit Artists Market as known as DAM to become a member. With this membership, I can have a opportunities to professional showings.
So.. I decided since I am working on shaping my brand more, let's launch a site to display my visual art, and BOOM, caziahsartisticcorner.wordpress.com was borned!
I will continue write on Conversing Caziah blogger but post my painting on Caziah's Artistic Corner Wordpress to give my writing and art, separate and equal spaces.
