SwitchPlay: Detroit's Hidden Treasure

Never did tell you guys what I did for Sweetest Day, huh?


I am not too keen on the holiday hype, because I believe celebrating your love ones daily in small special ways.;)


I am not knocking anyone who does, by all means simply do what pleases you! 


However, my mother is a nut about the holiday season. She kinda expects something to be done for on ever holiday... which is okay because I love my mom.. *Waves, hey Mommy*


So I surprised her with tickets to Switch Play: The Play, a sketch comedy production.


If you didn't know this about me, you will now, I LOVE TO LAUGH.


I will repeat it for those who couldn't hear/see what I said, 

 I LOVE TO LAUGH!

It almost to the point where I should start a group called:

"Laughter Anonymous: How to Stop Laughing When Others Don't Find You Funny At All".

Anywho,


Switch Play is a production hosted at Wayne State University seasonally. The crew consisted men and women from the Fine Arts department of the university. Some of the members are alumni and current students who come together to produce a show twice a year, sadly only twice year.

* I am sad because they are UNBELIEVABLY funny*

I invited my aunt and sister to accompany us to the play, when I tell we NEVER stop LAUGHING from the beginning to the end of the play. 

I mean WE NEVER STOP LAUGHING. 

I couldn't believe that I never heard or seen any of these actors on TV!


The show placed me in the mind of Living Color

*show out to my FB buddy but friend/mentor in my head  Deidre Lang*! 

These men and women are truly a talented crew!


My family and I TRULY enjoyed our Sweetest's Day because of your tear jerking sketches!

Extra, Extra, Read All About It! ~ Updates and Upcoming Projects

Hey there!

My lovely love birds *homage to Ms. TonyaTKO on YouTube*

I have been in the mist of creating and balancing so many different projects. Thus, today will be a posting frenzy for me. 

I decided if I can not write a piece for you all, I will simply create a video.. sounds simple right? Well I have created 3 and it has yet to be posted because my internet lags A LOT :(

*In fact I know a lot people in the Metro Detroit area that says their internet lags a lot, perhaps it's the steel plants that sprinkles across the Tri-State.. shrugs*

So I will post those videos up for you when I find a stable connections. :) hopefully soon!

Currently, I am writing more often and vividly. My writer's voice/tone will change just a tad bit so I am bracing you for it! 

I was invited to write as a contributing writer for That's DWNN '81: A artist movement in Metro Detroit!

I am also in the mist of working on a scholarship... and in addition to that I applied the Detroit Artists Market as known as DAM to become a member. With this membership, I can have a opportunities to professional showings. 

So.. I decided since I am working on shaping my brand more, let's launch a site to display my visual art, and BOOM,  caziahsartisticcorner.wordpress.com was borned! 

I will continue write on Conversing Caziah blogger but post my painting on Caziah's Artistic Corner Wordpress to give my writing and art, separate and equal spaces.

 I used to sit front of my Grandma's tv in the basement, 

 practicing choreography to EVERYTHING

It rare that a video catches my attention these days but my goodness! 

I don't know if it's the homage to If This Love - New Edition

I guess it is simply a great song.

Have You Ever Had a Lifetime Movie Moment?

True Story: Life is something.. I was at the mall when I decided to give my grandmother a call to ask her something which I always do. Call for a recipe.. a name of show.. something small but it's comforting to know she has the answer and it's a call away.. As the phone rang I turned to my sister and said "Man, I wouldn't know what to do if I couldn't pick the phone and asked grandma ya know.. Thank God for grandparents.." We chuckled to ourselves. She didn't answered.. usual so I called back a few times and left a voicemail.. 20 minutes later I receive a call she was in the hospital.. Life is something ain't it? I do not have a lot information but she is in recovery and stable.

Brrrrrr It's so Cold in the D... That I have a cold now.. SMH (- mini hiatus-)

Until my return... enjoy my latest cooking adventure.. 

I am still a bit under the weather..  my health is at 98.99% but not 100% yet.. 


Over the last few weeks, I have had a lot on my mind and time to think about my values and goals.                           


I have a lot to share but I want to present it in a well format.
